Getting started

  1. 1

    Create a sandbox project

Sandbox projects use synthetic data only.

  2. 2

    Generate a test key

Keys are scoped (e.g. courses:read) and shown once.

  3. 3

    Make your first request

Call GET /api/v1/courses and inspect the response.

curl "https://api.example.prakura.dev/api/v1/courses?level=intermediate" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer <YOUR_API_KEY>"

Authentication

Requests authenticate with a bearer token in the Authorization header. Keys are scoped to an organisation and a set of permissions.

  • Keep keys on your server — never ship them in front-end bundles.
  • Use separate keys for sandbox and production.
  • Rotate keys regularly and revoke unused ones.
Example header
GET /api/v1/courses HTTP/1.1
Host: api.example.prakura.dev
Authorization: Bearer <YOUR_API_KEY>
